Case Details:

Recently, a client entrusted our company with the custom development of a touch display assembly module for their multi-functional interactive terminal. This equipment serves as a face recognition terminal for outdoor community gate turnstiles. To address complex electrical environments and visual reflections caused by direct intense light, our technical team tailored this integrated capacitive touchscreen assembly solution. This was achieved through the Goodix GT911 capacitive touch IC scheme, a 5-inch touchscreen assembly architecture, and a surface AG anti-glare process, successfully resolving the cross-scenario assembly and optical visibility challenges for non-standard smart hardware.
Project Background:
According to client feedback, this 5-inch terminal device exhibits typical characteristics of "one machine for dual uses" and "cross-scenario indoor/outdoor deployment" in field applications. When deployed indoors as a smart home master control screen, overhead spotlights often create local bright spots and glare on the screen surface, undermining the visual aesthetics of the UI layout and the operational experience. Conversely, when deployed as a face recognition all-in-one machine in semi-outdoor turnstile channels, direct sunlight causes heavy screen reflection, making it highly difficult for pedestrians to see the displayed information clearly. Furthermore, because this equipment is a commercial/industrial-grade universal terminal, the client demanded exceptional stability and continuous delivery capabilities for the touch solution. To achieve a low-cost, high-efficiency assembly, the client chose to cooperate with our company for fully customized assembly development.

Key Solutions:
  1. Goodix GT911 Scheme and Electrical Tuning:
Targeting the multi-touch and baseline stability requirements of smart homes and turnstile terminals, this 5-inch touchscreen utilizes the Goodix GT911 capacitive touch IC scheme. To counter electromagnetic interference generated during the operation of high-power turnstile electric gates, our technical team conducted anti-interference (EMI) tuning on the underlying firmware driving algorithms of the GT911. The optimized solution supports precise 5-point touch, ensuring that the turnstile maintains rapid touch response even under complex, strong electromagnetic field conditions.

  1. 5-inchIntegrated Touchscreen Assembly:
To lower the labor time and costs during the client's final product assembly, this scheme utilizes a highly integrated touchscreen assembly manufacturing process. We vacuum-bonded the capacitive touchscreen seamlessly to the underlying display module via OCA. A plug-and-play FPC interface extends from the bottom. This assembly-based delivery method completely eliminates dust, air bubble, and misalignment risks that easily occur when clients attempt to bond touchscreens to displays outside a cleanroom, upgrading the client's final yield rate.
  2. Surface AG Anti-Glare Optical Process Treatment:
To tackle the glare problems caused by indoor smart home spotlights and outdoor turnstile direct sunlight, the cover glass surface underwent an AG (Anti-Glare) treatment process. This process micro-etches the glass surface to transform specular reflection into diffuse reflection. Even under direct environment sunlight or focused indoor spotlights, the smart home control menus and face recognition alignment frames on the 5-inch screen maintain superb clarity.
Overall Impact:
This 5-inch touchscreen assembly solution for smart homes and access control turnstiles fully satisfied the client's requirements. Adhering to rigorous manufacturing process parameters, our technical team completed high-volume, stable delivery within a reasonable lead time. By leveraging the GT911 touch scheme and a solid AG anti-glare surface treatment, this solution not only reduced the final assembly difficulty for the client but also fully demonstrated our manufacturing strengths in mainstream 5-inch core touchscreen assembly sizes.

Conclusion:
The successful delivery of this 5-inch cross-scenario smart terminal touchscreen assembly demonstrates once again our closed-loop custom capabilities in smart hardware interaction and optical surface engineering. From GT911 algorithm tuning to AG etching process execution, we completed a high-standard delivery. In the future, we will continue to deeply cultivate capacitive touchscreen and assembly product lines for smart access control and industrial handheld devices across core sizes, providing global manufacturing enterprises with stable and reliable integrated touch technology support.
